Nowadays, many markets and many products present themselves in the eyes of the consumer. There is an overload of products that one could say that the economy is very crowded. These surpluses are not very friendly, that is, they cause certain dead weight losses. This problem often occurs because some companies do not even know how to control production.

One question that a company should take into account would be “what to produce?”. It is quite evident that this is one important question. Without answering this, a company cannot start their production. After figuring out what to produce, the next thing to ask would be “how to do it?”. A company should find the most efficient and effective way of producing the product. Another important question that should be asked by a company is “for whom?”. Of course, any company should determine the target market of the product. This way, the company could adjust their product to the likings of the consumers. The last question that is as vital as the first three would be “how much to produce?”. This is important because this will determine when the company could stop producing. After determining when to stop producing, it will then be certain that surpluses will be avoided, if not, at least reduced.

In holding the business tight, one should always give much attention to production. Controlling production could not just be helpful for a company, but also for the whole economy.
